Hey, y’all! I’m Cathy – a wife, a mom, and a nationally published award winning designer of spaces to gather and southern belle writer based out of a small(ish) town outside of Atlanta, Georgia. However, most people know me as the Monica Geller of my friend group – a coffee connoisseur and dog mom with a huge heart for hosting and an eye for design. I’m a sucker for pretty place settings, southern charm, and the little details that make all the difference.
The heart behind what I do is simple.
A Hosting Home is my little corner of the Internet that came to life from my passion for creating, a heart for hosting, and a mission to help others be intentional on creating spaces to gather and celebrating life’s everyday precious moments – whether that be a wedding, a party, or even something as simple as hosting friends or spending time with your loved ones at home.
After years of planning beautiful weddings and being featured in numerous online and print publications under my own company as a Certified Wedding Planner as well as being named Wedding Planner of the Year for 2017 by The Bridal Society and Best Event Planner on the East Coast in 2019 by Rent My Wedding Magazine, I decided that I wanted to combine my love for interior styling, event design, and hosting with heart with my husband, Rob’s passion for creating and wood working to help others live where they love, make their house a home, and design their space with intention. Together, we strive to make A Hosting Home Collective the ultimate source of styling and design inspiration for the special occasion as well as the everyday.
If you’d like to get to know me better, please feel free to shoot me an email. In the meantime, check out the behind the scenes of everyday designs on our blog and instagram.
When it comes to A Hosting Home’s blog, it is a personal blog written and edited by me – and only me! Products featured on this site are items that I personally love. However, just like with any online purchase, it’s important to research any product before you use it and only shop from stores you trust.
Meanwhile, A Hosting Home works with several affiliate programs to provide shopping links to posts featured on this site. This means that if you click through certain links and make a purchase, I may generate a commission based off it at no extra cost to you. For example, I am a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for me to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.
While some posts and items featured on the blog may be sponsored by brands I personally love, please know that all opinions stated are my own. I will always disclose if the post is sponsored. I will never feature a product that we personally do not love. Sponsored posts are necessary to continue pouring coffee in my cup and provide new and quality content for my amazing audience. (That’s you!)
