Bible Verses to Pray Over Your New Home
Bible Verses to Pray Over Your New Home
The other day on Instagram, I gave a house update and talked about how Rob and I went through our new home build with a list of bible verses. We wrote verses on all the doors, windows, and even on the foundation in each doorway to pray for God’s hand over our home. We thanked God for blessing us with this home, and it was our way of dedicating it back to Him. Meanwhile, we also prayed for our new home and everything God would bring our little family through it, and we prayed that we’d use it to love our family and friends well. While writing, I also prayed for all the workers that have and will walk through our home through the build process. I prayed that they would be blessed by it and that they would come to know God / come closer to Him through His word.
If you’re currently building a home, I couldn’t recommend enough also walking through and writing scripture on your walls. I feel like spiritual warfare is alive more than ever right now with the state of our world. We strive to make our home a safe haven and a place of rest, and I felt so much peace sealing my new home with God’s word and promises.
If you’re wanting to do the same with your new build, here is a list of most of the verses that we wrote as well as where we wrote them. I tried to have at least one verse for every room of the house, and I wrote them on the windows, door frames, and walls as if to seal my home by God’s word.
