Simply Earth October Essential Oil Recipe Box

It’s my favorite time of the month, friends! That’s right. I got my October essential oil recipe box in the mail from Simply Earth! I’ve been looking forward to this next month’s box all September long. Especially when I heard from a little bird that October had recipes to make your own DIY essential oil candles. (Y’all know how much I love my Fall candles!) Today on the blog I can’t wait to give you a little peek into the fun I had with October’s box. If you’ve been on the fence about subscribing to Simply Earth, prepare to hop off the fence and get on board this train.

About Simply Earth Essential Oils

For my friends that are new around here and not totally familiar with Simply Earth or their essential oil recipe box, let me fill you in. Simply Earth is an essential oil company focused on making essential oils easy to use and helping you create a natural home. They’re committed to quality with their Simply Pure Promise to provide you with the highest quality, 100% pure essential oils. Not to mention, without a middleman, they are half the price of brands like Young Living. They also partner to end human trafficking by sharing 13% of their profits to organizations like 5 Stones, Exodus Cry, and Grounds of Grace each and every month.

My Favorite Thing About Simply Earth Essential Oils

I really love when a company has a commitment to quality – so I love that I can count on Simply Earth to provide me with all-natural, 100% pure essential oils that I can trust are natural and healthy to use in my home. Simply Earth is also all about making the use of essential oils easy. I love that Simply Earth tells you about each essential oil on the back of the bottle. They include the part of the plant it came from, the origin, the plant name, and the aroma that the oil has. It is also disclosed if an oil is child safe – and the age in which it is safe to use. (Which my momma friends know is super important!)

Simply Earth even has an amazing Facebook group exclusively for Simply Earth Recipe Box subscribers! In this group, subscribers can ask questions, share their own favorite recipes, and give each other tips and tricks for making the most of their monthly recipe box. As someone who has always tended to stick to the basics when it comes to essential oils (because I don’t know a lot), I love this! I also really love that they also include a card in their recipe box with descriptions of each oil, their properties, different uses, and benefits. It makes me feel so comfortable (and excited!) knowing how to use each oil.

Now if that all wasn’t enough to convince you, Simply Earth also has an essential oil subscription box that you can order. But this isn’t like the other subscription boxes you’ve ordered in your life where they are typically filled with trial sized or lower quality items in order to keep it affordable and *just* good enough to keep you paying for it month after month. The Simply Earth Essential Oil Recipe Box is different – and one a subscription box that any essential oil junkie is going to fall in love with!

Each month’s essential oil recipe box contains: 4 Full sized oils, 6 Recipes, and fun extras make it the perfect gift for yourself or a friend. The best part? It’s a $150 value for only $39 per month!

How The Recipe Box Works

The essential oil recipe box is really as amazing as it sounds. Each month is even themed! Basically how it works is that the Simply Earth aromatherapy team designs the perfect recipes, and each month you get all the ingredients, containers, and extras you need to make the natural recipes… delivered right to your doorstep each month! With the simple instructions and everything you need to get started, you’ll be playing with your essential oils in no time.

Plus: A Big Blue Bonus Box!

That’s not all either. In addition to the essential oil recipe box, you will also get a big blue bonus box filled with even more goodies when you first subscribe! Along with beeswax, almond oil, and coconut oil to be used with my recipes for the next 6 months, my bonus box also came filled with empty roll-on containers and 5ml blend bottles to save all my favorite blend combinations. Your big blue bonus box will have everything you need to help you enjoy your essential oil recipe boxes for the next 6 months.

A Look Inside: October’s Essential Oil Recipe Box

I can confidently say that Simply Earth‘s October essential oil recipe box is my favorite one yet. From fall aromas to making lip balms and candles, I had SO much fun! October’s recipe box contained sweet orange, balsam fir, and cassia essential oils as well as Simply Earth’s own Focus blend. (Who doesn’t need more of that in their life?) The box also contained 6 recipes, lip balm containers, a candle wick, and soy wax.

Here’s a look at a few of my favorite recipes from this month’s box:

Recipe 1: Cassia and Orange Candle

I didn’t really know what Cassia oil was when I opened this month’s box. But the card included said that it is related to cinnamon – and you’ll be able to tell as soon as you smell it! Orange is one of my favorite essential oils, especially when it’s diffused with some spice for the fall. So I couldn’t resist making the Cassia and Orange Candle recipe from this month’s box.

To be honest, I was pretty intimidated at the thought of making my own candle. I was super nervous and didn’t want to mess it up. However, it was SO easy with the instructions on the recipe card! It was so easy that I even doubled the recipe to make a larger candle to put in my living room. As soon as it was fully cooled, I immediately trimmed the wick and started burning it. It smelled amazing!

I told my husband that I was so excited that I can’t wait to get my hands on more soy wax to make more candles for the fall and winter months. I am absolutely candle obsessed this time of year – and this recipe was PERFECT. Next, I’ll have to try the Cassia and Balsam Fir Candle recipe.

Recipe 2: Fall Diffuser Blend

Every month I tell you how obsessed I am with diffuser blends. (Diffuser blends and candles make me a happy Cathy!) If you walk into my home, there is a candle burning and/or a diffuser going somewhere. I just love how refreshed and aromatic they make my home.

Spicy fall and winter scents have always been my favorite. I tend to burn / diffuse them year round. So I was beyond excited to see this month’s recipe box included a fall diffuser blend! It’s so good, it’s already been added to this season’s line up. I’ve got it diffusing next to me on my desk as I type this!

Recipe 3: DIY Aromatherapy Rice Bag

I’ve been working out with my personal trainer hard the past few months. Meanwhile, I feel like my muscles are constantly reminding me of it! I’ve had a few aromatherapy rice bag type things in my life, so I was beyond excited when I saw that I was going to get to make my own with this month’s box. I grabbed a clean fuzzy sock, some brown rice from the pantry, and added my oils. It was as simple as that! It’s the perfect treat for my sore muscles after a hard workout. All you have to do is microwave and apply.

Celebrating John’s first year of holidays is som Celebrating John’s first year of holidays is something that I have loved and looked forward to so much. While we will be teaching John the real meaning behind Easter as he grows, I think celebrating with a fun Easter basket each year will be a great way to kick off the Spring season. I remember growing up my mom always had Easter baskets waiting for us in the morning, with candy filled eggs, fun activities, and little seasonal toys / treats. My parents would hide those plastic eggs in our yard, and we’d hunt (and re-hunt) them for hours. It’s those memories and traditions that I cherish and hope to start with John this year. I had so much fun this week putting together a little basket for John’s first Easter. I shared all the details on what’s inside as well as a lot of other baby Easter basket ideas over on the blog today if you’re in need of last minute inspiration! ➡️ ahostinghome.com or click the link in my profile bio. ✨ #ahostinghome

We picked up these new beautiful stoneware dishes over the weekend, and I immediately felt so inspired to create a sweet and simple Spring tablescape with them. The lemon jars and greenery in my dough bowl give off a fresh Spring feel. Meanwhile, with the subtle touches of the season with the rabbit linen napkins and the garden label place cards, I think it’s really the perfect look for Easter, Mother’s Day, or any other meal with your loved ones that you want to make a little more special this Spring. I don’t know about you but I am always SO excited at the start of a new season. I’m looking forward to our master bathroom / shower (hopefully 🤪) being finished — and a bunch of other DIY projects I have planned (and promise not to leave Rob in charge of 😂) to refresh our home this year. I’m also so excited for sunny days and warmer weather to start getting outside with this babe! ☀️👶🏼🦋 What are you looking forward to this Spring? Coming to y’all from baby jail — and when you’re a mom to a baby, 💩 happens. (No literally.) I’m all about making my life easier, and the @_mollieollie_ Mimmo Caddy has been one of my favorite new baby items because it keeps everything I need in one place. No more running around the house or back and forth to the nursery to grab baby essentials (and interrupting valuable play time!) It’s super durable, keeps its shape even when empty, and it’s made of a soft chemical-free felt material that makes it safe to hold all your baby’s essentials. Not to mention, POCKETS for all the things. 😍 I think what I’m most excited for though is how it’s going to make car diaper changes on our road trips this summer SO much easier. (Who else hates public restrooms? 🙋🏼‍♀️)

John Robert slept in his own room in his crib last John Robert slept in his own room in his crib last night for the first time (other than for naps) and I bawled like a baby as I prayed over him and rocked him to sleep. (&& then we saw each other again 2 hours later because #4monthsleepregression 😅) I know everyone tells you they grow up fast, but I feel like the past 4.5 months have gone by in a blink of an eye. I found myself SO upset already thinking of things I wish I had gotten to do in his newborn stage and wondering if I’m soaking up enough of the tiny precious moments I get with him everyday. (But really is that even possible?) Before I know it this room will be a big boy room, and then before I know it again he’ll be grown and on his own. I can’t wait to watch him grow up and experience life with him but oh gosh, I want him to stay this little forever. Andddd Here I go again... 😭🤧 #ahostinghome
