My Newest Obsession: Simply Earth Essential Oil Recipe Box

August Simply Earth Essential Oil Recipe Box // A Hosting Home Blog

This is a sponsored conversation on behalf of Simply Earth. As always, all photos and opinions are my own. Please see the disclaimer on my about page for more information about this type of post.

My Newest Obsession:

Simply Earth Essential Oils

If you ever step foot in my house, there’s a diffuser on somewhere. It’s almost a constant thing. I especially like to put my diffuser on the sofa table behind out couch so that it travels through the entire heart of our home. To be honest, I have always been a smelly candle junkie. Most of the time, I’ll have a candle AND complementary diffuser blend going. However, I am also one of those people who will light a candle, walk away, and (kind of) forget about it. It’s a high price to pay to want your home smelling like heaven.

With that being said, I actually started dabbling in essential oils almost two years ago as a (flameless) way to, in a lack of better words, make my house smell nice. However, I came to find out that diffusing essential oils gave my home a feeling that candles never could. I was hooked. I started looking more into essential oils and all of their uses beyond just diffusing. But as I got deeper into the Pinterest rabbit hole that was essential oils, I started to understand that the quality of the essential oils used was even more important. As picky as I am about the products I use on myself and in my home, I became just as picky about the essential oils I’d purchase.

When the ladies at Simply Earth approached me about trying out their essential oils, I dove deep into their brand and fell in love with their Simply Pure Promise and what they stood for. They are all about a commitment to quality and creating a natural home for your family. The best part is that their prices are fair for the quality that you’re receiving.

My Favorite Thing About Simply Earth Essential Oils

Besides the fact that they are all-natural, 100% pure essential oils, I love that Simply Earth tells you about each essential oil on the back of the bottle. They include the part of the plant it came from, the origin, the plant name, and the aroma that the oil has. It is also disclosed if an oil is child safe – and the age in which it is safe to use.

As someone who always tended to stick to the basics when it comes to essential oils, I don’t always know a lot about the benefits of specific oils. If you’re like me, you’re going to love that they include a card in their recipe box with descriptions of each oil, their properties, different uses, and benefits! It made me feel so comfortable (and excited!) knowing how to use each oil.

If you’re anything like me, you’ve subscribed to your fair share of subscription boxes. They promise an array of products. However, they are typically filled with low quality and trial sized products. This is to keep it affordable and *just* good enough to keep you paying for it. Not only is the Simply Earth Essential Oil Recipe Box different. But, it’s also a subscription box that any essential oil junkie is going to fall in love with. Full sized oils and fun extras make it the perfect gift for yourself or a friend. The best part? It’s a $150 value for only $39 per month!

How The Recipe Box Works

It’s super simple actually. The Simply Earth aromatherapy team designs the perfect recipes, and each month you get all the ingredients, containers, and extras you need to make the natural recipes… delivered right to your doorstep each month!

Hello, Bonus Box!

In addition to the essential oil recipe box, you will also get a big blue bonus box filled with even more goodies when you first subscribe! Along with beeswax, almond oil, and coconut oil to be used with my recipes for this month, my bonus box also came filled with empty roll-on containers and 5ml blend bottles to save all my favorite blend combinations!

A Peek Inside August’s Recipe Box

The August recipe box from Simply Earth is all about self care – something I’ve definitely struggled with since our son passed away this Spring. In addition to hiring a personal trainer, this month’s recipe box couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. With 7 recipes containing simple steps to take care of myself and my skin with natural and pure essential oils, I couldn’t wait to treat myself and add this box into my daily routine. Here are a few of my favorite recipes from this month’s box!

Recipe 1: Feel Good Morning Diffuser

If you ever step foot in my house, there’s a diffuser on somewhere. It’s almost a constant thing. I especially like to put my diffuser on the sofa table behind out couch so that it travels through the entire heart of our home. When I saw that this month’s recipe box included a diffuser blend, I got so excited and immediately mixed up a master blend. It’s the perfect addition to my bible study and quiet time full of coffee and puppy snuggles every morning after I wake up.

Recipe 3: Skin Renewing Face Mask

I LOVE face masks. You know, even though they make me look like Dwight from The Office’s “Stress Relief” episode in Season 5. Meanwhile, jokes aside, I had so much fun getting to make my own with this month’s box. It made my skin feel so moisturized and clean. Made with the clear skin essential oil blend and aloe vera gel, it really is the perfect summertime face mask to incorporate into your skin care routine.

Recipe 6: Clear Skin Roll On

Can I give you a dose of real life? Since getting off birth control, getting pregnant, and having a baby, my hormones have been all over the place. With that, I’ve struggled with my fair share of acne breakouts. Meanwhile, with sensitive skin, I’ve never been a fan of using chemicals on my face and have always gravitated towards treating it with natural products. I’ve used Tea Tree oil in my skincare routine, but I was so excited when I saw this recipe for a roll on with Simply Earth‘s clear skin blend. With tea tree, sandalwood, cedarwood, juniper berry, and lemon essential oils, it’s the perfect all-natural combo to treat those pesky skin breakouts.

Celebrating John’s first year of holidays is som Celebrating John’s first year of holidays is something that I have loved and looked forward to so much. While we will be teaching John the real meaning behind Easter as he grows, I think celebrating with a fun Easter basket each year will be a great way to kick off the Spring season. I remember growing up my mom always had Easter baskets waiting for us in the morning, with candy filled eggs, fun activities, and little seasonal toys / treats. My parents would hide those plastic eggs in our yard, and we’d hunt (and re-hunt) them for hours. It’s those memories and traditions that I cherish and hope to start with John this year. I had so much fun this week putting together a little basket for John’s first Easter. I shared all the details on what’s inside as well as a lot of other baby Easter basket ideas over on the blog today if you’re in need of last minute inspiration! ➡️ ahostinghome.com or click the link in my profile bio. ✨ #ahostinghome

I love and miss you so much, little man. More than I could possibly put into words. I'm so proud of you. 💛 Today I celebrate your 38 minutes of life here on earth and praise God for your eternal life in the place we all long to be. I can't thank you enough for making me a momma. I can't wait to see you again one day. 🦋 Happy 2nd Birthday in heaven, my sweet baby Layne.

I love when a shopping trip turns into a major str I love when a shopping trip turns into a major stroke of inspiration! We picked up these new beautiful stoneware dishes over the weekend, and I immediately felt so inspired to create a sweet and simple Spring tablescape with them. The lemon jars and greenery in my dough bowl give off a fresh Spring feel. Meanwhile, with the subtle touches of the season with the rabbit linen napkins and the garden label place cards, I think it’s really the perfect look for Easter, Mother’s Day, or any other meal with your loved ones that you want to make a little more special this Spring. hello Spring,☀️👋🏼 so nice of you to join hello Spring,☀️👋🏼 so nice of you to join us. Leave the pollen at home and let’s make some memories. I don’t know about you but I am always SO excited at the start of a new season. I’m looking forward to our master bathroom / shower (hopefully 🤪) being finished — and a bunch of other DIY projects I have planned (and promise not to leave Rob in charge of 😂) to refresh our home this year. I’m also so excited for sunny days and warmer weather to start getting outside with this babe! ☀️👶🏼🦋 What are you looking forward to this Spring? I’ll be back tomorrow to share a simple spring tablescape in my dining room featuring some new dishes that I snagged while shopping this weekend! #ahostinghome
Can someone please tell me how this little nugget Can someone please tell me how this little nugget is 5 MONTHS OLD today!? 🌈🦋 John Robert is a spunky firecracker who would rather stand (and run) than practice sitting still. He loves his snuggle puppy (and real puppy, Willie 🐶), anything Sophie the giraffe, and rolling over to try to get out of tummy time. He’s currently kicking my butt sleep training and knows he has his mama wrapped around his little fingers! I love this sweet little man more than anything. 💛👶🏼 #ahostinghome @thecathynugent

Coming to y’all from baby jail — and when you’re a mom to a baby, 💩 happens. (No literally.) I’m all about making my life easier, and the @_mollieollie_ Mimmo Caddy has been one of my favorite new baby items because it keeps everything I need in one place. No more running around the house or back and forth to the nursery to grab baby essentials (and interrupting valuable play time!) It’s super durable, keeps its shape even when empty, and it’s made of a soft chemical-free felt material that makes it safe to hold all your baby’s essentials. Not to mention, POCKETS for all the things. 😍 I think what I’m most excited for though is how it’s going to make car diaper changes on our road trips this summer SO much easier. (Who else hates public restrooms? 🙋🏼‍♀️)

Showing y’all an up close look (and what I keep in it!) in Stories today! Visit the link in my profile bio and use the code 10hosting for 10% off your own Mimmo Caddy! ✨👶🏼

John Robert slept in his own room in his crib last John Robert slept in his own room in his crib last night for the first time (other than for naps) and I bawled like a baby as I prayed over him and rocked him to sleep. (&& then we saw each other again 2 hours later because #4monthsleepregression 😅) I know everyone tells you they grow up fast, but I feel like the past 4.5 months have gone by in a blink of an eye. I found myself SO upset already thinking of things I wish I had gotten to do in his newborn stage and wondering if I’m soaking up enough of the tiny precious moments I get with him everyday. (But really is that even possible?) Before I know it this room will be a big boy room, and then before I know it again he’ll be grown and on his own. I can’t wait to watch him grow up and experience life with him but oh gosh, I want him to stay this little forever. Andddd Here I go again... 😭🤧 #ahostinghome
