A Christmas Gift Guide for Kitchen Lovers
A Christmas Gift Guide for Kitchen Lovers
This blog started as a way for me to share my hosting heart. I talk about it a lot on the blog, but I really try to make my kitchen / dining room / living room the heart of my home. I strive for it to be a place where my family and friends gather. It’ll be where our family spends quality time together, where my kids will grow up with their friends, and where we’ll share meals and memories. All in all, Rob and I designed the spaces in our home with intention. We want the heart of our home to be a place of gathering and celebrating all of life’s precious moments whether they be big or small.
One of our favorite ways to serve and love on people is over a table. That means that Rob and I love being in the kitchen. I hate to admit it, but he’s a way better cook than I am too. But if you’re anything like us, the kitchen (and what’s in it!) is probably a super important part of your home. Meanwhile, with Christmas right around the corner. It’s the perfect time to stock your kitchen with high quality products on sale at super affordable prices. So when you’re thinking of your kitchen lovers this Christmas season, I can promise you that this is the only gift guide you’ll need!
Kitchen Lovers Gift Guide
Tea Towels + Aprons
I’m a sucker for the little details, so I absolutely love cute tea towels and flour sack towels to display in my kitchen.
I also love having a cute apron that I don’t feel like a grandma in. (Can I get an amen?!) I got a few of the cutest aprons when Rob and I got married, and I love them! I feel comfortable wearing them even as I’m prepping food in front of guests. Whether entertaining large crowds or just hosting family, I’m a firm believer that every kitchen lover needs the perfect apron.

Coffee Bar Essentials
When it comes to a kitchen designed for hosting, you have to have some sort of coffee bar. While your standard coffee mate works fine, I have found such a huge difference in investing in a great coffee bar set-up. I find that single cup coffee makers cut down on my coffee consumption and avoid the waste that comes with not finishing the pot. If you host family at your home, it’s a party pleaser because everyone gets a hot, fresh cup of coffee no matter what time they get up.
We currently have one of the newer Keurigs in our coffee bar, but I honestly am getting tired of Keurig. I don’t know whether it’s because I use them more than the average person or what, but I seem to go through them (aka. break them) faster than one person should. I also love more of the speciality drinks. Meanwhile, I’ve heard so many amazing things about the Ninja Coffee Bar and the Nespresso systems from my fellow bloggers. I’ve been seriously debating on which would be the perfect one for me!

Small Appliances
I’m a sucker for small kitchen appliances. However, I find that I hide the majority of ours due to them not ‘matching’ in our kitchen space. I’ve seen the smeg line being promoted by people like Liz Marie Blog, but I recently saw the line for myself when I stopped in at Williams Sonoma. I was blown away. Their 1950s style small appliances are so darling and were of such great quality. I’m dying to start my collection of smeg products now!
Meanwhile, I already have a KitchenAid Mixer, and it’s hands-down my favorite kitchen gadget that I currently have. We got the Mixer itself when we got married, and Rob originally thought it was a silly gift. But he soon realized that it really is an all-in-one tool that can be used for so much more than ‘mixing cookie batter’. As people who enjoy cooking and baking, we love receiving all the attachments as gifts now for the holidays.
Another hot item I think that’s going to be gifted this year for Christmas is the Instant Pot. After seeing Tina (@to_mimishousewego on Instagram) share her recipes and how she uses it to cook for her family almost daily, I couldn’t imagine anyone not wanting one. It’s like a crockpot on steroids without the all day wait, and the Ultra has so many different cooking options for everything you could possibly want to make in the Instant Pot. There are also a ton of accessories online (and on Amazon!) for anything you’d want to make in the Instant Pot, so you could easily have follow up gifts for in the future like you would the KitchenAid Mixer.

Cooking Essentials
One of my favorite cooking essential gifts that I received a couple years ago for Christmas was definitely my Le Creuset Dutch Oven. I use it for anything and everything that I’d need a pot for. Pot pies, soups, chilis, you name it. It’s oven safe up to 500 degrees, so I’ve even used it for making a one-pot chicken pot pie that I cooked the inside on the stove and finished by baking the crust on top in the oven. My favorite part is that it’s so easy to clean. Let’s face it, I often judge what to cook based on how many dishes I’m willing to wash!
When asking Rob what gifts he’d want to receive as a kitchen lover, without missing a beat he said he’d want a high quality chefs knife. I’d have to agree with him! If you find yourself in the kitchen a lot and you love to cook, you know that a high quality knife can make all the difference in your prep work. (Literal game changer.)

Countertop
Last but not least, my home decor loving self can’t resist having countertop accessories that seamlessly flow with the rest of my home’s decor. I love the look of everything from Mud Pie. It perfectly fits my home’s mix of decor styles. Not to mention, who wouldn’t want to collect everything MacKenzie Childs?
