Remember back with the launch of my new website for the new year I announced that I was going to give away a free styled engagement session with some ah-mazing vendors? Well, it happened.
I remember when Sydney first reached out to me with the idea of styling an engagement session to give away to a couple. I immediately fell in love with the idea, and I knew I had to be a part of it. We got together to brainstorm and, before I knew it, all we needed was a couple. So, we hosted a giveaway on Facebook and Instagram!
Let me just say, I can’t thank everyone enough who entered into our giveaway and showed us an overwhelming amount of support. We wish we could have worked with each and every one of you. (and I still hope to!) In the end, I am so happy that I got to work with Melanie and Logan. Not only are they super cute (just wait till you see them below!), but they were absolutely perfect for this shoot. It made my heart so happy to see them so excited for their engagement session. They didn’t know what to expect, but they knew they were going to have some bubbly and have a great time. (Both of which happened!)
Their love story is one for the movies and is years in the making. Not only are they high school sweethearts, they also attended KSU together. After they both graduated, they moved back and started working in Atlanta. This past November, Logan proposed to Melanie at a local vineyard. (Is your heart melting yet?) It was so evident how much these two just adore each other. I remember taking behind-the-scenes photos and nudging Megan in the arm as our hearts melted at the way he looked at her. When he stood out of frame he kept telling Melanie how beautiful she was, and I just about died. They were super sweet, a lot of fun, and just made the whole shoot a dream-come-true.
Melanie and Logan expressed how nervous they were when they first arrived. They told us they were a bit ‘awkward’ and had never really been in front of the camera before. To warm them up, Sydney shot some photos of them in a casual outfit of their choice. I laugh now when I look back because, as you can see, there’s no awkwardness at all between those two. I swore they were hustling us because they were just the cutest during the entire shoot- even with an audience. (Megan and I got a front row couch view on the rooftop!)
We couldn’t help but ooh an aw over them the entire time. You’re about to see why.
This shoot will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you, Melanie and Logan, for making this shoot a dream come true for Cathy Nugent Weddings! We absolutely adored y’all!

Love her black dress! Very cute!
Thank you! It’s actually three different black tulle skirts we got from Tutu Moi! I think the Midi length was my favorite. 🙂
